# KeePass vs Tap Access

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tap Access at every 2 days against KeePass's every 3 weeks. KeePass's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KeePass sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 3 months and Tap Access sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KeePass ships an update every 3 weeks, Tap Access every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
