# Transcript vs SmartSolve

The clearest difference is ads: Transcript at none against SmartSolve's shown. Transcript also leads on review sentiment (76% vs 66%). SmartSolve's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 394) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcript sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and SmartSolve sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Transcript against 4.6 for SmartSolve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartSolve has 3.6K ratings behind it against 394, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Transcript's written reviews are positive against 66% of SmartSolve's.

Transcript ships an update every 3 weeks, SmartSolve fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
