# Transcript vs AskCuddy

The clearest difference is update cadence: AskCuddy at every 5 days against Transcript's every 3 weeks. AskCuddy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Transcript's advantage is ratings volume (394 vs 20) and review sentiment (76% vs 67%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcript sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and AskCuddy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AskCuddy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcript has 394 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Transcript's written reviews are positive against 67% of AskCuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Transcript ships an update every 3 weeks, AskCuddy every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
