# Simplified vs Bettertask

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bettertask at none against Simplified's 6. Bettertask also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Simplified's advantage is ratings volume (187 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simplified sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Bettertask asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bettertask holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simplified has 187 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Simplified ships an update weekly, Bettertask every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
