# DIGITAL ELD vs 3PL

The clearest difference is update cadence: 3PL at weekly against DIGITAL ELD's every 6 months. DIGITAL ELD's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DIGITAL ELD ships an update every 6 months, 3PL weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
