# SAMI vs EducaOpen

The clearest difference is update cadence: SAMI at every 5 days against EducaOpen's monthly. SAMI also leads on device support. EducaOpen's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SAMI sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and EducaOpen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SAMI ships an update every 5 days, EducaOpen monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
