# PulseBarrier Connect vs QR

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PulseBarrier Connect at none against QR's 4. PulseBarrier Connect also leads on ratings volume (101 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). QR's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. PulseBarrier Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

QR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PulseBarrier Connect has 101 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of PulseBarrier Connect's written reviews are positive against 100% of QR's.

PulseBarrier Connect ships an update every 2 weeks, QR every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
