# Repeat Timer App vs Voice Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: Voice Recorder at 4.6 against Repeat Timer App's 3.5. Repeat Timer App's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Repeat Timer App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Voice Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Voice Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Repeat Timer App's written reviews are positive against 33% of Voice Recorder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Repeat Timer App ships an update monthly, Voice Recorder every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
