# Firsttrip vs Yukitabi

The clearest difference is monetization model: Firsttrip at free against Yukitabi's paid. Firsttrip also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (41 vs 1). Yukitabi's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Yukitabi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Firsttrip has 41 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Firsttrip ships an update fortnightly, Yukitabi every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
