The clearest difference is update cadence: Writetastic at every 2 days against EZ2 Write's every 3 weeks. EZ2 Write's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EZ2 Write sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Writetastic sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
