# Curiosity vs Nova

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Curiosity at 80% against Nova's 0%. Curiosity also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (172 vs 1). Nova's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Curiosity sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Nova sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nova holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Curiosity has 172 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Curiosity's written reviews are positive against 0% of Nova's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Curiosity ships an update every 2 weeks, Nova every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
