# Opti VPN vs VPN Proxy

The clearest difference is rating: VPN Proxy at 4.6 against Opti VPN's 4.0. VPN Proxy also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Opti VPN's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Opti VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and VPN Proxy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Opti VPN's written reviews are positive against 43% of VPN Proxy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Opti VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, VPN Proxy weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
