# TheMadNote vs Grape

The clearest difference is update cadence: Grape at every 2 days against TheMadNote's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TheMadNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Grape sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TheMadNote ships an update every 2 weeks, Grape every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
