# chayns® vs BaseChat

The clearest difference is review sentiment: chayns® at 97% against BaseChat's 52%. chayns® also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ratings volume (87 vs 1). BaseChat's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BaseChat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month. chayns® asks for nothing beyond the download.

BaseChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: chayns® has 87 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of chayns®'s written reviews are positive against 52% of BaseChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

chayns® ships an update every 6 days, BaseChat every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
