# Shifter vs Exploretale

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shifter at every 4 days against Exploretale's fortnightly. Exploretale's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shifter ships an update every 4 days, Exploretale fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
