# FirstRowPick vs User Picks

The clearest difference is monetization model: User Picks at free against FirstRowPick's free with in-app purchases. User Picks also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). FirstRowPick's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FirstRowPick against 5.0 for User Picks. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 2 respectively.

FirstRowPick ships an update fortnightly, User Picks weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
