# AppLock vs AppLocker

The clearest difference is ads: AppLocker at none against AppLock's shown. AppLock's advantage is ratings volume (205 vs 5) and rating (4.4 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and AppLocker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppLock holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AppLock has 205 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AppLock ships an update every 8 days, AppLocker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
