# Fireflies vs Hello Studios

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fireflies at 5.3K against Hello Studios's 4. Fireflies also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Hello Studios's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hello Studios holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fireflies has 5.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fireflies ships an update every 2 weeks, Hello Studios every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
