# Homework Tracker vs Assignd

The clearest difference is update cadence: Homework Tracker at every 3 weeks against Assignd's every 6 months. Homework Tracker also leads on ratings volume (223 vs 3). Assignd's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homework Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Assignd sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignd holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Homework Tracker has 223 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Homework Tracker ships an update every 3 weeks, Assignd every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
