# Air vs btkbd

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Air at none against btkbd's 1. Air also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.9) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). btkbd's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. btkbd sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Air asks for nothing beyond the download.

Air holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Air's written reviews are positive against 71% of btkbd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Air ships an update every 2 months, btkbd fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
