# Topgolf vs CluePal

The clearest difference is rating: Topgolf at 4.9 against CluePal's 4.0. Topgolf also leads on ratings volume (93K vs 2) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). CluePal's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Topgolf holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Topgolf has 93K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Topgolf ships an update every 9 days, CluePal every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
