# Topgolf vs Tapin App

The clearest difference is rating: Topgolf at 4.9 against Tapin App's 4.2. Topgolf also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (93K vs 5). Tapin App's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 57%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tapin App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Topgolf asks for nothing beyond the download.

Topgolf holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Topgolf has 93K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Topgolf's written reviews are positive against 75% of Tapin App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Topgolf ships an update every 9 days, Tapin App every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
