# Blip vs Crest Browser

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Blip at 86% against Crest Browser's 25%. Blip also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (3.6K vs 11). Crest Browser's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blip holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blip has 3.6K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 86% of Blip's written reviews are positive against 25% of Crest Browser's.

Blip ships an update every 6 weeks, Crest Browser every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
