# Shape Shifter vs Cavernous

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shape Shifter at every 6 weeks against Cavernous's every 6 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shape Shifter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cavernous sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shape Shifter ships an update every 6 weeks, Cavernous every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
