# MW VPN vs BlackWolfVPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: MW VPN at free with in-app purchases against BlackWolfVPN's subscription. BlackWolfVPN's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MW VPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and BlackWolfVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MW VPN ships an update every 12 months, BlackWolfVPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
