# EZ Screen Translator vs Live Caption

The clearest difference is ads: Live Caption at none against EZ Screen Translator's shown. Live Caption also leads on review sentiment (47% vs 19%) and device support (4 vs 1). EZ Screen Translator's advantage is ratings volume (789 vs 43) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EZ Screen Translator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Live Caption sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for EZ Screen Translator against 4.4 for Live Caption. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EZ Screen Translator has 789 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two.
