# InPrayer by CPH vs Lutheran Catechism

The clearest difference is rating: Lutheran Catechism at 5.0 against InPrayer by CPH's 2.4. Lutheran Catechism also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). InPrayer by CPH's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (74 vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InPrayer by CPH sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Lutheran Catechism sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lutheran Catechism holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InPrayer by CPH has 74 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

InPrayer by CPH ships an update every 3 weeks, Lutheran Catechism every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
