# AI Chat vs AI Assistant

The clearest difference is ratings volume: AI Chat at 2K against AI Assistant's 10. On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AI Chat sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and AI Assistant sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for AI Chat against 4.6 for AI Assistant. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 2K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of AI Chat's written reviews are positive against 83% of AI Assistant's.

AI Chat ships an update every 4 weeks, AI Assistant every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
