# Rocket Typist vs smrtkbd

The clearest difference is rating: smrtkbd at 5.0 against Rocket Typist's 4.1. smrtkbd also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium). Rocket Typist's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rocket Typist sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and smrtkbd sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
