# Witch Finder vs Witchy Coven

The clearest difference is rating: Witchy Coven at 4.6 against Witch Finder's 4.0. Witch Finder's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Witch Finder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Witchy Coven sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Witchy Coven holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Witch Finder's written reviews are positive against 50% of Witchy Coven's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Witch Finder ships an update every 4 weeks, Witchy Coven every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
