# SOS vs CU 25

The clearest difference is update cadence: CU 25 at every 2 weeks against SOS's monthly. SOS's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SOS ships an update monthly, CU 25 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
