# SimpleStudy vs StudyNotes AI

The clearest difference is ratings volume: SimpleStudy at 71 against StudyNotes AI's 2. SimpleStudy also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). StudyNotes AI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpleStudy sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and StudyNotes AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyNotes AI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpleStudy has 71 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SimpleStudy ships an update fortnightly, StudyNotes AI every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
