# SimpleStudy vs StudyRank

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudyRank at 100% against SimpleStudy's 68%. StudyRank also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). SimpleStudy's advantage is ratings volume (70 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SimpleStudy sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and StudyRank sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyRank holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpleStudy has 70 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of SimpleStudy's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudyRank's.

SimpleStudy ships an update fortnightly, StudyRank every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
