# Knowt vs MemoLib

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Knowt at 11K against MemoLib's 2. Knowt also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and chart position (#138 vs unranked). MemoLib's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and MemoLib sells 31 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knowt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Knowt's written reviews are positive against 75% of MemoLib's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Knowt ships an update weekly, MemoLib every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
