# Knowt vs Brain Brew

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Brain Brew at 100% against Knowt's 62%. Brain Brew also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Knowt's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 5) and chart position (#76 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Brain Brew sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brain Brew holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Knowt's written reviews are positive against 100% of Brain Brew's.

Knowt ships an update weekly, Brain Brew fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
