# Knowt vs TutorRx

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TutorRx at 100% against Knowt's 62%. TutorRx also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Knowt's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and TutorRx sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TutorRx holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Knowt's written reviews are positive against 100% of TutorRx's.

Knowt ships an update weekly, TutorRx every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
