# Knowt vs Notecook

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Knowt at 11K against Notecook's 2. Knowt also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and chart position (#118 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Notecook sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knowt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Knowt ships an update weekly, Notecook every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
