# Knowt vs AI Lecture Note Taker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AI Lecture Note Taker at 100% against Knowt's 62%. Knowt's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (11K vs 9). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and AI Lecture Note Taker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knowt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Knowt's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Lecture Note Taker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Knowt ships an update weekly, AI Lecture Note Taker every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
