# Knowt vs Cinch

The clearest difference is monetization model: Knowt at free with in-app purchases against Cinch's subscription. Knowt also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 1) and chart position (#97 vs unranked). Cinch's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knowt sells 27 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Cinch sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cinch holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Knowt has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Knowt ships an update weekly, Cinch every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
