# Summarize vs AI Note Taker

The clearest difference is monetization model: AI Note Taker at free with in-app purchases against Summarize's subscription. AI Note Taker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 88%). Summarize's advantage is ratings volume (203 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Summarize sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and AI Note Taker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Note Taker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Summarize has 203 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 88% of Summarize's written reviews are positive against 100% of AI Note Taker's.

Summarize ships an update fortnightly, AI Note Taker weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
