# Letterly vs Snap Timeline

The clearest difference is rating: Letterly at 4.7 against Snap Timeline's 3.0. Letterly also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 2). Snap Timeline's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letterly sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Snap Timeline asks for nothing beyond the download.

Letterly holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letterly has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of Letterly's written reviews are positive against 100% of Snap Timeline's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Letterly ships an update every 10 days, Snap Timeline weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
