# Knitting Counter vs iStitcher

The clearest difference is rating: Knitting Counter at 5.0 against iStitcher's 3.8. Knitting Counter also leads on device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). iStitcher's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Knitting Counter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and iStitcher sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knitting Counter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iStitcher has 15 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
