# Time Set vs SpeedCube Timer App

The clearest difference is ads: SpeedCube Timer App at none against Time Set's shown. Time Set's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Set sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SpeedCube Timer App sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Set ships an update every 2 weeks, SpeedCube Timer App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
