# Event Countdown vs Streak Counter

Event Countdown and Streak Counter both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Event Countdown's written reviews are positive against 50% of Streak Counter's. Event Countdown also leads on ratings volume (48 vs 9). Streak Counter's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Both are free to download. Event Countdown sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Streak Counter sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Event Countdown against 5.0 for Streak Counter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Event Countdown has 48 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
