# Jetpack Joyride Classic vs Loopwing

The clearest difference is monetization model: Loopwing at free with in-app purchases against Jetpack Joyride Classic's subscription. Loopwing also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Jetpack Joyride Classic's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jetpack Joyride Classic sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Loopwing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Loopwing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jetpack Joyride Classic has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jetpack Joyride Classic ships an update every 3 weeks, Loopwing every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
