# Pelo VPN vs QR Reader

The clearest difference is update cadence: QR Reader at every 2 weeks against Pelo VPN's every 2 months. QR Reader also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pelo VPN ships an update every 2 months, QR Reader every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
