# NukCo vs Nook

The clearest difference is rating: NukCo at 5.0 against Nook's 4.7. Nook's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (9 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NukCo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nook has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

NukCo ships an update every 6 weeks, Nook monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
