# PASS vs Shoetree

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PASS at none against Shoetree's 2. Shoetree's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shoetree sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. PASS asks for nothing beyond the download.

PASS ships an update every 6 weeks, Shoetree every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
