# FruitForest vs Sun Mapper

The clearest difference is rating: Sun Mapper at 5.0 against FruitForest's 3.5. Sun Mapper also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). FruitForest's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 0%) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FruitForest sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Sun Mapper sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sun Mapper holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of FruitForest's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sun Mapper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FruitForest ships an update every 3 months, Sun Mapper every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
