# Crazy Eights vs Solitaire Uni

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Crazy Eights at 49% against Solitaire Uni's 25%. Crazy Eights also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (22K vs 816). Solitaire Uni's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crazy Eights sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Solitaire Uni sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Crazy Eights holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Crazy Eights has 22K ratings behind it against 816, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Crazy Eights's written reviews are positive against 25% of Solitaire Uni's.

Crazy Eights ships an update every 5 weeks, Solitaire Uni every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
